Restoring Inner Calm: The Power of Cyclic Sighing

In a world that often feels like it's spinning too fast, we as professional women navigate complex systems not designed with us in mind. The constant juggling act can leave us feeling drained and disconnected.

What if there was a simple, scientifically-proven way to recenter ourselves and amplify our impact?

Enter cyclic sighing

- a powerful breathwork technique that's

changing our inner experience.

Imagine being able to tap into a wellspring of calm and clarity, anytime, anywhere. That's the promise of cyclic sighing.

This isn't just another wellness trend; it's a practice backed by rigorous Stanford University research. Studies show that cyclic sighing outperforms other relaxation techniques in:

- Reducing anxiety

- Lowering heart rate

- Improving mood

- Enhancing focus and decision-making

Here's the beauty of it: in just 5 minutes a day, you can transform your nervous system's response to stress. It's like hitting a reset button for your mind and body.

Ready to experience the power of cyclic sighing for yourself? I've created a short practice video to guide you through the process. Here's a quick preview of the technique:

1. Inhale gently through your nose, filling your lungs about 2/3 full

2. Take a second, deeper breath to fully expand your lungs

3. Exhale slowly through your mouth,  like your blowing through a straw, releasing all the air

4. Repeat for 5 minutes

By dedicating this small pocket of time to yourself each day, you're not just managing stress—you're cultivating the inner stability and resilience needed to drive meaningful change in your life and workplace.

I invite you to try cyclic sighing for a week and notice the shifts in your energy, focus, and overall well-being.

How might this practice impact your day-to-day life? Your leadership? Your relationships?
